Workers of the Night: A Change

Change is something that we all don’t want to face because we want everything to go smoothly our way; however, what happens to our mindset when life does not go as planned? We may be frustrated, upset, and feel as if there is no light at the end of the tunnel. Most often, this results in words we regret saying and actions that don’t mirror Jesus Christ within us.

Abraham Cortez, a chef in Wakeview, Texas, quickly found this out as his life took a turn when he had to trade his old chef uniform for a new neon safety jacket at a grocery store. How will this change shape his identity and affect his family? Will it be for the best or will it bring out the worst? Will he feel trapped in his past and regret his decisions? Will he use God’s Word to help him speak truth into his present and future?

No matter what, hopefully, Abraham will be strengthened and encouraged through God’s continued presence and through the people that God intentionally sends his way at the right time. At times, it may be his wife, Angela Cortez, his new pastor, Daniel Ortega, or new coworker, Draymond Iglesias. More insights and truths will be revealed through the pages of this book as we take the first step in reading Workers of the Night: A Change.
